The world is
full of nice people and some that are not so nice. If it weren't
for the latter we would have no need to lock our doors or install
burglar alarms. Identity theft would be unknown and fraud would
not exists.
But it's not a perfect world; utopia is just a word in the dictionary
and we need to do everything in our power to deter crime.
Our part in the scheme of things is to provide a safe place for
your valuables and important papers. Namely, your safe deposit box.
How safe is your safe deposit box? The 10 inch thick steel door
weighing 20,000 lbs. is obvious. Our vault alarm system and time
clock mechanism add to the safety. Not so obvious are our procedures
to protect you from unauthorized entry into your safe deposit box.
We strive to preserve privacy and confidentiality.
We'd like to remind you that the safe deposit renter has the only
keys to the box. Our "guard key" will not open a box;
it only "sets" the lock to open with your key.
Access to a box includes positive identification including possession
of the proper key. Locks are changed after a box is surrendered
or a renter loses a key. Loss of both keys requires a locksmith
to drill through the 1/2" steel box door with witnesses in
attendance.
We do not give out any information regarding a particular safe deposit
box unless directed in writing by the customer or to the executor
or administrator of an estate upon proof of such office. We don't
ask about the contents of safe deposit boxes - - we don't want to
know. Here again, confidentiality is of utmost importance.
Please be assured that the information in your file will not be
shared with unauthorized persons or entities. We may share it with
our own affiliated, subsidiaries or departments with the intention
of serving you better. We do not sell or provide names of our customers
or the information that we have collected to other businesses.
In addition to physical controls (alarm systems, etc.) our computer
programs are designed to allow access to customer information only
by authorized personnel.
We want you to feel comfortable about the information you have entrusted
to us and invite you to contact us if you have any questions about
the privacy of your safe deposit box or identity records. |
